Credentials
Experience and Training
My credentials include a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and a Master's Degree in Health Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology. I have experience treating a range of conditions from serious mental illness to interpersonal conflicts in the workplace. I primarily see adults in individual therapy.
I also teach in the Foundations of Patient Care Program at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine.
In addition to my work in psychology I have undergraduate and graduate degrees in English (UC Berkeley, Washington University in St. Louis) and I have taught at Stanford University since 1987, where I directed the undergraduate writing program and taught graduates and undergraduates. I have authored or co-authored ten books and several articles in this discipline.
